I have terrain files (DEM) before and after the landslide, how do I model it? There is an example is to use the sphere to simulate the sliding body, I do not know how to use the terrain file to deal with

@13137990154, if you import the DEM terrain, convert them to solids and slice the before-landslide DEM with the post-landslide DEM you will get the sliding mass and the stationary objects.

I have the DEM's of pre and the post event. But to slice the pre dem stl from the post dem stl, is it necessary that the DEM's should have thickness like the one given in GeoXPM tutorial. Can i cut the dem's directly in the GeoXPM without having the thicknesses in the stl file. Or is there any other way, please help me out.
Also, if we obtained the sliding mass and the stationary object then how we are going to flow that sliding mass over the terrain, because the tutorial present in the site doesn't mention anything about this.
Please help me.......

@tanishq09 This is regarding working with CAD meshes and Parts. Note that you can only cut meshes with meshes and Parts with Parts. Whether the Mesh or Part is hollow does not matter. If you want a solid object like those in the tutorials, you can convert the Mesh to a Part, then use Parts -> Convert to solids to create a solid.

Regarding your second question, we do not manually "make" the sliding mass flow. Instead, the behavior of the sliding mass is governed by its constitutive (material) models. For example, by applying a rheology model, your sliding mass will behave as a viscoplastic material and flow accordingly.

@tienlk2004 Thanks for fast replying.
I will do this and if some problem occurs, I will come back to you.
thanks

@tienlk2004 I have imported two stl files in GeoXPM, one for pre-event and another for post-event landslide. Then I use the option convert shape from mesh, and then use the option extrude to add the thickness of 30 mm downwards to get a solid file. Same done for another file also. Then i select both the files and use the slice apart option but nothing happens, it shows not responding. Am I doing something wrong, please help me.
Please refer the attached pdf for the query.
